The brew bar
Espresso, americano, flat white, cortado, hand-pour. Beans roasted in Kathmandu and changed seasonally. Iced for hot afternoons.
Boudha · Kathmandu · Est. on a quiet lane
Slow coffee, masala chai and a long table for breakfast — three lanes past the stupa, where Ramhiti exhales into a garden.
The idea
Ananda means a quiet, unprompted joy — the kind that arrives after a long walk, a cup in both hands, morning light through leaves. We named the cafe for that feeling, and built the room around it.
We sit on a side lane in Phulbari, three minutes from Boudhanath stupa. No traffic at the door. A garden seat for the morning kora crowd, a long indoor table for the afternoon rains, and a kitchen that quietly turns out chai, momos and breakfast all day.
Come for an hour. Stay for three. We're glad either way.

Boudha at our doorstep
Boudhanath — one of the largest stupas in the world — is a three-minute walk from our gate. We're past the gompas of Phulbari, opposite Mangaldvip school.

Mornings in the garden, the bar at full pour, an afternoon by the window. Most regulars find a corner and stay.
Visit
Look for the saffron gate opposite Mangaldvip school. The garden is around the back — pull the door, take the path, you'll find us.
